Euro-Youth MediaLab Project Dissemination Event – 22nd France 2018

The Euro-Youth MediaLab Project is a two year project funded through Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships of youth: KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices: 2016-1-FR02-KA205-011285. The Project runs from 1/09/2016 to 31/08/2018.

The aim of the project is to work with youth to explore what issues concern them and present their views through multimedia reports which they will produce and share with their project partners.

The purpose of the dissemination event was to share the results of the Euroyouth Medialab Project which had been running from September 2016. Partners spoke about the importance of engaging youth to explore the issues that were important to them in their region and to show how youth can be empowered to make changes in their community.


Europe Direct Information Network AGM

The AGM for the Europe Direct Information Network took place from the 4 – 6 June 2018 in Brussels. The theme for the AGM was ‘Meet, Ask, Discuss’ and included managers from each of the 435 offices across the 27 member states.

The meeting took place in the European Parliament with discussions on the EU Budget 2021 – 2027, the strategy for the European elections in 2019, how to address fake news, shaping the approach to migration, and towards a European Education area.

Youth Worker Team Project

The youth worker TEAM project took place from June 4th – June 8th 2018.

The Youth Worker TEAM (Training to Empower, Animate and act as Multipliers) Project is funded through Erasmus+ KA1 Youth Mobility for 8 Month project from the 1 January 2018 – 31 August 2018.

The TEAM Project will develop the capacity of youth workers to participate in and encourage youth in their community participate in Erasmus+ activities in order to promote personal development by improving their skills, enhance their employability and gain cultural awareness.

The TEAM Project engaged youth through the Strabane Youth Office, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and host partners from Portugal, Germany and Spain.

During the training  we met with newly appointed Mayor John Boyle, Derry and Strabane District Council and councillors to hear about our Erasmus+ Youth TEAM training project with partners from Portugal, Germany and Spain.
